Be prepared to see Shep's nightgown change color a few times this round as I somehow fail to match it to her everyday dress multiple times.

Anyway, winter has arrived on Shep's little homestead. The bees are clustered in their hives and snow is falling.

Awwww.

Shep: Aw, you came through all this snow to see little ol' me. How are you, babe?

Diseta: I'm annoyed. Even separated, I feel like Norweni is still deciding things for me. Like Senna staying with her, or the friggin' pony. Sorry... I'm probably not actually good company today.

Shep: You're always good company. Does she do that a lot?
Diseta: She always has. 'We should do this, we should move here, no, actually there', except she's already started doing those things before telling you about it because, I dunno, it's efficient. It was less annoying when it was stuff we both wanted to do, but...

Shep: Tell her to knock it off. I'll tell her for you if you want. In the meantime, would you like a nice distraction?
Diseta: Hmmm. As long as it's a nice distraction.
One thing about this relationship is that it definitely cured Shep of her longtime friend crush on Norweni!

Diseta: Wait, what happened to your hand?
Shep: Oh spirits, it's really embarrassing. I tripped carrying too many things after unloading the kiln and cut it on a broken bowl. Helenet's boy patched it up but I guess it's gonna scar.
Diseta: You should be more careful, Shep. Maybe have Gytha help you next time instead of doing it all yourself at once.
Shep: I knowwww. I told you, it was stupid and embarrassing.

Shep's

She sells a couple crates of it to Fial to use in her cheese-making. The rest will get plopped on a table when she opens the pottery stall.

I wanted to take cute snowman-making pics but I turned the walls up and it turned out she was standing in the roof. :')

I guess the snowman is wearing her big hat for the winter.

Shep: You got a lotta nerve, showing your face at my business, dude.
Maddan: I just need a new pitcher, okay?

Shep: Two pitchers!
Maddan: Yes, okay, fine—wait, what?

Spotted: some of the ladies in town playing a game of Liar's Stones together at the mead hall.

Shep and Derelei share an early supper together at the mead hall and spend time catching up. I'm glad they really have become friends again! Maybe it's easier for Derelei now that she's secure in her own relationship.

Shep: Seriously, Diseta?
Diseta: I couldn't resist—
Shep: Sometimes you're a little too impulsive.

Then she got stuck between the destroyed snowman and the box of blocking that keeps sims from walking through the cart. Serves you right!

Diseta: That smells really good.
Shep: That'll be the bacon—

Shep: Shit!
Diseta: ...I take it back.

Diseta: I'm not sure you should eat that.
Shep: S'fine! I don't wanna waste food.

Shep: *cough* ...It's fine-ish. Maybe not.
Diseta: I told you. Walk back with me and I'll buy you something to eat at the market that's not charred.

Too distracted by thoughts of kissing her girlfriend to notice the wolf digging up her garden right next to her.

Shep: Gytha! Hey!
Gytha: Hi!

I saw the thought bubble and thought aww, she's talking about Diseta, then saw the speech bubble... I guess they really are, lol.

Shep spends a snowy few hours partaking in yuletide festivities with Diseta. This lot... does not work so well with heavy snow all over it. Or, rather, it does, but it looks weird as heck. Also, I meant to get Shep a yule log and completely forgot, despite telling myself in the holiday pop-up not to forget. :'(

Meanwhile, I sneakily sat Wulfraed here down with Orla because I'm lowkey trying to hook them up, and he unerringly brought up the one subject besides crime that Orla can't stand: plants.

Shep: Oh, yay, they ate the honeycomb! That's good.
Diseta: It's cute how excited you get over the bees.
Shep: Hey, everyone hates on bees because they can sting, but they love honey and mead. Bees are really cool! Did you know they have, like, their own little bee society?
Diseta: No, I didn't. You should tell me about it, but maybe inside and also closer to the fire?

The snow is still falling the next day, so Shep spends her morning doing chores inside and weaving at her loom. It's hard to open her shop in the snow when her shop is outdoors, and people aren't gonna show up in the snow anyway.

Well, most people. Diseta probably spends as much time here as she does at the forge these days.

Are we still talking about that time Aífe rejected Kinet's marriage proposal? Lmaooo

We interrupt that hot gossip so Shep can go befriend this stray cat. I guess I forgot to take pictures of it, but Shep rolled a 'get pet' want, which I decided to take as her missing Daisy. I've been trying to get her to adopt Colm here all round (he was the first cat to walk by).

Diseta: I see Gytha and I have convinced you to become a cat lover too.
Shep: How could I leave him out here? Besides, I never saw a single mouse around the house when Daisy was here. I'm sure he'll make a great mouse deterrent too.

Colm has very cute ears and is a lazy, finicky genius. No word yet if he talks as much as Uncle Colm.

He's also certainly glad to be out of the cold and snow tonight, I'm sure! That seems like a good note to end the round on. Things were short and quiet with Shep here this time. This is her season of rest and also hanging out with her girlfriend.
