It’s dawn at the Seax household, and that means SCREAMING TODDLERS.

Norweni is NOT regretting her decision to have a second (and, accidentally, a third at the same time) child. Norweni doesn’t do regrets. She is, however, ready for the peace and quiet that will presumably come when they get older. (Ha! Ha ha ha!)

Norweni: Diseta diseta diseta WORK diseta

I can’t even be mad at the Sixam stealing our cows. I hope he has a nice time in space.

Oh, yeah, there are other sims who live here too.
Norweni: Fial!
Fial: What?
Norweni: Look, the house is getting cramped. Diseta and I have decided it would be best if we established our own steading. The farm is all yours.

Fial: ...What? But Da left it to you.
Norweni: But you and Dinn are the ones who actually take care of the place and keep it running. It’s obviously been yours in all but name already, now it’s officially yours, as it should be. Our new house is about ready to move into anyway.
Fial: I... okay. Well, thanks for telling me you’re moving out ahead of time.

Norweni: Was I supposed to do that? Well, I’m telling you now. Move up into the loft or let Kinet have it, whatever you want.
Fial: What about Sun and the twins? No offense to either of you, but three babies is a handful. How are you and Diseta going to manage? You’re so busy, and Diseta has the forge.
Norweni: Wulfric is taking the salt to market in Evervale next week. I’m going with him to ask around for someone to keep house and nanny the children.
Fial: Well. It seems like you’ve thought of everything.
Norweni: Of course.

Fial: I’ll miss having you here, though. A bit.
Norweni: I’ll make sure to come over and bother you often enough that you stop missing me, then.

Yup, the Seax household is dividing! Norweni’s new hall is right across from the market, at the foot of the hills, and she and Diseta have already moved their family in, leaving Seax farm permanently in Fial’s capable hands. But we’ll catch up with them later.

I think Fial misses Faun more than she misses Norweni, lol. It’s a little quieter around the farm, but not too much—there’s still Kinet and Faro, and friends popping in and out, of course.

Dinn is so proud of himself for making lunch without burning it!

Fial, however, makes sure to handle supper—it’s Kinet’s birthday, and she makes his favorite meal for it.

Wow, he looks exactly the same!

Kinet’s girlfriend, Aífe, also gets aged up.

They’ve been going steady for a few years now, and Kinet thought this would be the perfect moment to ask Aífe to be his wife. But she refuses.
Kinet: But... Aífe...
Aífe: I don’t... it’s so sudden, Kinet! Ask me some other time. Please.
Eisu: Oof.
Drustan can’t even look, hiding behind his little logic sphere toy. 😔

Then Finn (Redheaded Teenage Townie Aífe hates) suddenly appears in the house for her to slap? Okay.

Not even music can soothe Kinet’s hurt.

Not even this sweet new loft bedroom all to himself that he inherited from Norweni. 😔

I don’t think those pumpkins are going to fit in that basket.

Fial gave her best attempt at befriending Brigid, but Brigid does not make it easy.

Faro is also having a birthday this round!

He has a very smushable face. I want to smush his little cheeks like I do with my cats.

Kinet needs a vacation. We don’t have that, but we do have a mead hall, which is just as good probably!

Kinet: Woah, I like your outfit.
Gede: Thanks, you too!

See, drunkenly making a new friend is just as good as a tropical island.

Xiang came to visit and brought Elmet with him. I knew you secretly like him, Xiang!

And also, for some reason, New Townie, whose name is actually Eithne and who is uncharmed by Elmet. Join the club, Eithne, the only people he’s managed to charm are Helenet and a cantankerous four hundred-year-old forest creature.

Hmm... well, Kinet thinks, if Aífe can’t make up her mind right now, why not try his luck with another woman?

But this is the only picture I took of their date for some reason? So I guess it didn’t go well.

Norweni: So Kinet’s out on a date tonight?
Fial: Yes. He’s still upset about Aífe, though... I like that girl, but I don’t know what she’s thinking.
Dinn: Ah, they’re young, Fial, let them make their own mistakes.

Hi, Aífe!

Aífe: Hi, Kinet.
Kinet: ...Aífe.

Aífe: I’ve missed you.
Kinet: Oh? Have you?

Random Child: HI MISTER, HI LADY, YOU WANNA BUY SOME COOKIES AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CAVE SCOUTS GROUP?
Kinet: *sigh* We’re trying to have a moment here, Arduenna.
Random Child: Only five coppers and I’ll go away!
Aífe: Five? Last week it was three!

Aífe: What was I saying? Oh... you asked me... well, it just felt like you put me on the spot, Kinet! Asking in front of everyone like that.
Kinet: I thought we were pretty well in agreement...
Aífe: Will you ask me again like I said?
Kinet: Welllll...
Aífe: Kinet.
Kinet: Fine, here in front of absolutely nobody, will you marry me, Aífe?

This seems like a you problem. I’m gonna ignore it.

Aífe has moved into the household ahead of the wedding. She’s a Knowledge/Fortune sim (personality is 6/5/8/3/3). She’s also one of a handful of townies who have family in Veridia: her father Cian (who doesn’t show up very often in pictures) and her grandmother Graìnne.

And she works as a horse trader with her father! I guess that’s why her pendant has horses on it?

Kinet: Mum! Guess what!

Fial is a little disappointed to find out that Kinet and Aífe plan to wait until spring to wed, but they don’t want to rush the planning, and everyone knows it’s bad luck to marry in winter.

Peep Kinet’s new hair! I finally found a good style that lets us see his adorable face better.

Aífe and Kinet visit the market again for a bit of celebratory dancing. And Kinet doesn’t care for Wulfric’s opinion on the overking.

These two are still adorably in love. Sickening, truly.

Kinet has progressed to one hand push-ups. Aunt Wenna must be proud!

Dinn has to fix everything again now that Diseta has moved out. :(

The market is everyone’s go-to for socializing lately. It’s always bustling! Fial takes the time to catch Norweni up again on the “drama” with Kinet and Aífe.

Whoops.

Kinet also brings home a case of the flu, and Aífe promptly catches it from him. I can foresee Helenet being very busy this winter.

Fial is a good sim who always shows her respects to the spirits on holidays.

Dinn gamely accompanies her, but gets waylaid by the apparently very funny sacred pool. idk, dude, I wouldn't do that if I were you. A water spirit might curse you, and everything I know about folklore tells me 'don't fuck with water spirits'.

Guess the spirits didn't like that offering.

Norweni and Diseta honor the spirits by, uhhhh, making out.

That night, the thief strikes again. Bold move, dude, hitting the farm where the village headwoman just recently lived.

But Kinet was awake and using the outhouse when the thief sneaks into their barn, and flu or no, he quietly followed him—

And that takes care of that.

Winter welcomes itself in with a little snow.
