Diseta: Well, Lu, did you think we'd be back living here again?
Lu: Mew?
Diseta: Yeah, I know.
Surprise return of the Blacksmith household, due to, well... *gestures at the last two rounds*

Diesta reassures Kinet that she has no problem with Norweni's family, despite everything; they're still related through her and Diseta's children now, after all.
Kinet: That's good... I'm not very good at keeping my blades sharp.
Diseta: How do you not know how to sharpen a knife at your age?

Spotted: Enna enjoying herself while she eyes all the shiny things on offer at the jewelry stall.

I felt Diseta deserved a new look too. She's been wearing that tunic for at least a decade now, so it was off to the market—

—where she runs into Orla and stops to chat with her. She's not entirely sure how to feel about Orla; the younger woman seems unfazed by her husband's affair with Diseta's now ex-wife, which hardly makes sense to Diseta. But Orla is so friendly that it's hard not to like her.

I was JOKING!!!

Wulfraed: Oooh, awkward.
K, you shot your shot and got turned down because, again, she's straight. Time to go home.

It is a new look. I didn't promise that it would be drastically different.
Speaking of new looks, I rebuilt the house behind the smithy with some of the money Diseta took with her. One, we needed to fit the kids in, and two, I can't do it, I can't play roundhouses. I just CANNOT manage to make one that looks good in this game

Diseta: Hey, Gytha, I haven't seen you around the smithy lately. Don't need any more nails to ward off evil step-mothers?
Gytha: Ughhh, are you ever going to let that go? I was ten.
Diseta: Mmmm, don't think so.

Myr comes over one rainy evening to share a meal with Diseta and catch up.

Myr: ...and I've been dating someone new recently, too.
Diseta: ...Oh?

Myr: Do you know River? They came from Wyll with us.
Diseta: Um, I know of them. Vaguely.
Myr: They're so sweet. I always figured most witches are pills, but River definitely isn't. I s'pose Orla is alright, too, even if she's a bit of a ditz.
Diseta: Right... well. How nice for you.

Diseta: You can sit there as long as you don't knock those candles down.
Lu: Mrow?

...Oh??? *casually locks want*

The kids are here now.

I don't think your mother would approve of such behavior, Gwen!

It's a very social day today at the smithy. I love how Shep brought Gytha along with her, haha.

Diseta: I just wanted to thank you for being so supportive lately. It... helps. Really.
Shep: I'm glad! That's what friends are for, right?
Diseta: Yep... friends, huh.

Welp, she did flirt with Shep and then her wants rolled over to more platonic ones, so... maybe she's not ready for that yet.

Another new friend for Senovara! Orla is one of those Family sims (much like Eisu) who seems to genuinely enjoy talking to and spending time with kids. It's cute!

They've put that misdirected flirt behind them and become friends.

We're hard at work rebuilding the shop's business level, and Sun has been recruited to manage the till.

Meanwhile, Xiang has been coming by a few mornings a week at Norweni's request to give the children reading lessons. I'm glad he's stopped having breakdowns and Hamlet-monologuing all over town.
Senovara: Did Mouse come home yet?
Xiang: Not yet, unfortunately.
Senovara: Have you tried ham? I think cats like ham. Mam's cat tried to steal mine off my plate once.

Diseta is ignoring this, minding her own business, flourishing, etc.

Meanwhile, I realized Sun and Senna aren't even friends, even though Sun is a Popularity sim and Senna constantly rolls wants to be friends with everyone (including Maddan, unfortunately, lol), so we're having Enforced Bonding Time at the market.

Spotted: Helenet has NOT forgiven this townie for insulting her that one time four rounds ago.

Cinaéd: Besties!
Senovara: Forever!
Sun: Urgh, you guys are so sappy.

Diseta: Sun, make sure the twins go to bed at a reasonable time, alright? I'll be back in a bit.
Sun: Mhmm.

Jia: It's cool how your parents let you be independent. My dads are always around.
Sun: Yeah, I guess.

Sun: Isn't this a little childish? Mam built that for the twins.
Jia: No, it's fun! C'mon!

Sun: Yeah, this is boring.
Jia: Boooooo!

Jia is still trying to figure out if Sun is really that oblivious to Jia's attraction to her and the answer seems to be yes, she really is that oblivious.

Sun: You must be soooo sore after training today. Want me to massage your back?
Jia: Well...

Jia: ...I should probably get home, actually. Baba will worry if I'm not back soon.
Sun: Aw, okay, Goodnight!

Okay then! When I had Diseta invite Shep to the mead hall, I wasn't expecting her to do THIS. You don't even have a crush on her yet???

Shep: Okay, wow, what was that about?
Diseta: Um... impulse? Sorry—
Shep: Hey, I'm not complaining, I'm confused. Let's go inside and talk,

Shep: Soooo, I take it you're into me? Again?
Diseta: Yes? I mean, you're my best friend but... I also feel this really strong attraction. And part of me doesn't want to feel it, because, what if I get burned again? Even though I know you would never betray someone like that! I'm just really confused lately.
Shep: I'd be more surprised if you weren't confused. It hasn't been that long.
Diseta: I know.

Shep: Y'know, I did learn from my relationship with Derelei that I don't think I want the whole traditional shebang. Marriage and kids and all of that. And I know that's more your vibe.
Diseta: Um... I did all that already, and look where it got me. So maybe I'm okay with that. And if I decide I'm not... I'll tell you?
Shep: Well, in that case...

Shep: ...I would really like to kiss you, and some other things, if you're up for it.

Diseta: Maybe we should head back to my place.

Update: I'm not sure she is actually okay with that, but she is going to ignore that she isn't.

Mornings are a little chaotic around the smithy.
Senovara: No, Sun! My beautiful curls!

Sun wants to earn another logic point, so I sent her off to the well to play riverstones (or maybe it's fidchell?). Her and Gede's game is closely observed.

Gwendolen: Cinaéd?
Cinaéd: Can't talk! Bees!!

This is why I couldn't download that new death by flies by bees mod even though it looks cool; my Veridian sims would all perish immediately.

Eventually he escaped.

Yeah, Norweni, you're just here to purchase a new wash basin. I completely believe that. Diseta is, again, ignoring this.

Xiuying: Senna, why do you like weaving so much?
Senovara: Um, it's useful! And I like making the threads go in different patterns. Don't you like stuff like that?
Xiuying: Not really.
Senovara: Well, what do you like? D'you like hitting things with swords like Jia?
Xiuying: No? I dunno. I like fishing.
Senovara: Hmm. Cinaéd likes fishing too. I think it's boring!

The whole lot, and you had to play mary-mack IN the checkout line?

Senna is giving me big Popularity sim vibes. This hood is gonna be overrun with them one day.

Cinaéd, on the other hand, is embracing his inner Knowledge sim lately.

Sun autonomously sat Senovara down for a hangout sesh, perhaps to pass on some Big Sister Wisdom? Senna seems a bit skeptical. Me too, girl.

Diseta: Um, in that case... flirt away?
Shep: Oooor maybe I can get you out of that apron?
Diseta: Oh! Yes.

Diseta: I think you're wearing too much clothing. Doesn't quite seem fair.
Shep: Maybe you can help me with that!

That's a nice end to round six, I think. I'm interested to see how Diseta and Shep's relationship continues to evolve next round, but that's all for now!
