Snow still lingers on the farm despite the worst of winter having passed.

Faro: Hi, Mum!
Jia: Yeah, hi Faro’s mum!
Fial: Good morning, kids. I’m going to pick up something from the market; don’t get in trouble while everyone’s busy. Jia, do not try to jump in the well again.
Jia: *sigh* Yes, Faro’s mum.

Wulfric: Oh, Fial, I have your salt order ready over here.
Fial: Wonderful! It’s so nice to have your shop here, you do such good work. I don’t know what I’d do if we had to go to the big market in Evervale all the time for this.
Wulfric: Well, thank you very much, that’s kind of you. :)
Don’t be fooled, Fial! Wulfric ain’t shit.

The salt is for Fial’s cheese- and butter-making ventures, now that I am sort of learning how to use the Sun&Moon sets.

ROS! We finally got one in a household that can keep the animal! But, um...

...I kinda forgot to feed her. ;_; RIP beautiful pig, 2025 - 2025, you were gone too soon.

Dinn: Now that our work is done for the time being, would my lovely wife care to accompany me down to the market?
Fial: *giggle* Certainly.

And then Aífe ran in to nag Fial about something (I’m not sure what, exactly). Fial understands that Aífe is still adjusting after Sabren’s birth, but even she has limits.
Fial: Aífe, honey, this is my house. Do not tell me how to run my own house, alright?

Kinet has a great way to distract Aífe. I’m not sure more babies will help, but whatever.

Dinn and Fial have some drinks and dinner at the market. It’s so nice to be out in the fresh spring air, especially together. (Why is this the first time I’m noticing that I gave them matching cloaks? 😭)
Dinn: This was so nice. It reminds me of when we were courting. Those were the days, right?
Fial: Oh, I don’t know, that was nice, but I do love our life now.
Dinn: When our daughter-by-law isn’t nagging you, at least?
Fial: Eh, she’s better than picking up after Wenna all the time.

When the snow and last frost finally melt, it’s time for Kinet and Aífe’s wedding. Do either of them actually have a want to get married? No, but I’m going to make them do it anyway.

Aífe: Kinet, stoooooop.
Kinet: It’s good cake, though, right?
Aífe: It is.

It must be true love, they’re actually sitting together. This never happens at Veridian weddings.

Faro catches up with cousin Sun...

...and Fial spends some time with her sister.

Townie: HELL YEAH, FIGHTING! *toot*
Aífe: Punch his lights out, Granny!
Well, it just wouldn’t be a Veridian wedding without a brawl. That’s Aífe’s archenemy, Random Redheaded Townie Boy, and her grandmother Graínne.

Okay, everyone line up to be lectured now.
Graínne: I regret nothing.

Weddings always make Fial think of how handsome her own husband is. :)

Kinet: So everyone’s either tipsy or drunk by now. Should we ditch 'em here and head home by ourselves to celebrate?
Aífe: Sounds like a plan.

Poor Dinn, all the basins in the house have sprung leaks lately.

Dinn: Thank you, love.
Fial: Of course. There’s no one I’d rather clean up messes with!

Okay, either I’m missing screenshots again or just thought I took them. Anyway, Sabren has grown into a toddler! She didn’t get a party because I invited everyone over one day early and then realized she wasn’t growing up yet and didn’t feel like doing it a second time. :’)

Finally! A grouchy sim!

Dinn: Peek-a-boo!
Sabren: Eeeeee!

She's also great at screaming.

I think Aífe may be having second thoughts about their decision to forgo birth control.

Sabren: Ma?
Aífe: Yes, yes. Stay there, Sabren, Mama needs to go puke two or three more times.

At least Helenet has some of that anti-nausea tea this time around.
Aífe: Thanks. You’re a lifesaver, Helenet.
Helenet: Of course. It’s very effective, I can personally assure you!

With Aífe feeling unwell, she and Kinet opted out of the festival day and stayed home with their daughter, so it’s just Faro and his parents there again.

I’m pretty sure everyone here is at least a little drunk.

Unlike her father, Faro is more than happy to play warriors and scoundrels with Jia.

Faro: Curses! The tunnel... I see the tunnel... I will return! To haunt you!
Jia: Y'know, Dunk’s friend claims he saw a real spirit. In the cave.

Faro: Woah. Do you think it’s true?
Jia: I bet it is. I mean, where else would you find spirits? And Glamaer is too boring to make it up.

Faro: Hmmm. Will you come over for my birthday dinner later?
Jia: Of course! I would never miss your birthday or a chance to eat cake.

Fial is proud of what a nice, outgoing boy Faro is growing up to be (and secretly glad that he has no interest in becoming a warrior like Kinet).

The whole family gathers later for Faro’s birthday.

Jia: Yaaaaaay! Go Faro!

Faro grew into a Knowledge/Popularity sim, and with his musical aspirations, I’ve decided he’ll make a great bard. Not sure how that will work out in gameplay, besides some community lot busking, but I’m sure he’ll love it!

Aífe: The midwife confirmed I’m pregnant again. By the way.
Kinet: Oh. Already?
Aífe: Yup.

Faro caught the flu for his birthday. (A lovely gift from Aunt Norweni. Thanks Wenna!)

Fial gets up early to make a nice healing soup for him. Her poor boy, getting sick on his birthday!

Now that he’s older, Faro can take over more responsibilities when it comes to the cows. Congrats!

Aífe actually rolled wants to teach Sabren her toddler skills, which I was inordinately impressed by, considering she doesn’t even have a family secondary.

Faro spent some time at the market, meeting people and jamming with the

If there were a few werewolves in the background, I'd say this picture is a pretty good summary of Veridia.

Fial is gonna have to open a cheese shop next round.

Faro can finally play those other instruments I bought him last round. I need a shed I can lock them in so everyone else leaves his stuff alone. >_>

Mmmm, pureed fish.

Aífe is ready to get back to work, but it looks like she might be waiting a little longer, since she’s expecting again. She'd be out there doing more if she were less tired.

At least they make cute babies?
That’s all for here. Next we’ll meet our ROS newcomers!
