Veridia Round 7: Healer

Now it's a shortish round!

In case I didn't telegraph it hard enough in the other posts: Gytha and Angus (and Daisy) have moved into Angus's childhood house. Look, it's cute and I don't want to build anything new right now.
Angus: Are you sure this is okay? The house you grew up in was a lot, um, nicer.
Gytha: This is cozy! I'd much rather be here than living in that house.

Daisy is happy because this house is right next to where her new friend Mouse lives. He just has to come through the gap in the hedge to visit!

Gytha: Y'know, there's a lot of surfaces in here that need to be broken in.
Angus: Wha—Gytha!
Gytha: It's cute how easily flustered you are! Don't you wanna know how sturdy that table really is?
Angus: Well...

ROS. This does seem like something one of them would do, but I wasn't sure how to play it out in game/this particular neighborhood, so I just didn't do anything yet? I could give them money I guess? Would appreciate any ideas! I should probably remove this one too from my ROS for now, though.

I like to think Gytha made most of the pottery around the house and the workshop, like the green ewers and pots. Angus is busy brewing up batches of flu remedies and warming potions for the winter ahead.

It's just a three-day round here, since Angus moved out in the middle of the other round, and I didn't bother loading Shep's household yet to hire Gytha at the business. So Gytha gets some free time to spend weaving and just hanging around the house.

Angus: Gytha, I think your cat is pregnant.
Gytha: What? Really?
Angus: That or she's getting plump, but, um I think it's kittens.
Gytha: Daisy, you saucy girl! What tomcats have you been hanging around with?
Angus: Probably Uncle Eisu's cat next door.

Shep dropped by to check in on her protégé/adopted little sister (and eat a dinner that she doesn't have to cook, ofc).
Shep: Who's a plump li'l dumpling of a kitty?
Gytha: She's having kittens! I thought you thought Daisy was annoying?
Shep: She's annoying when she's attacking my customer's feet. She's a sweet little darling the rest of the time.

Gytha made Daisy a little toy out of some scrap fabric and some dried catnip from Angus's garden.

Gytha also wanted to go out, so date night at the market!

She takes a moment to gossip with her brother while Angus is occupied. Hi, Dunk!

Angus: You two look really cute together.
Gytha: Of course we do. We're both cuteness personified. Or... catified?
Angus: Felinified?
Gytha: Yeah!

Elmet: No, we can't go in, Snow, it's nighttime. We're just casually checking that everything is fine here while on our nightly walk. Don't tell Angus.

Gytha: You can sit there, but I'm not giving you any of this! You have your own bowl.

After some thought, I decided to have Angus open a business for his potions instead of selling everything from his inventory like Helenet does. I wouldn't mind having sims pick up cold cures or warming potions while I'm not playing them. Eventually I'll build a small shop or stall on a community lot for him, but they have next to no money right now.

Anyway! Myr graciously offered to be our first customer.
Myr: Do you have any of that stuff that's good for colds? My little brother is always picking up colds from the other kids.

Gytha is an old hand at this after working for Shep; she's a huge help with the customers.

Daisy's kittens have arrived! They're both boys; the all gray one is named Ash and the one on the left who looks like he's seen some stuff is Stripes. Look, I'm not good at coming up with pet names on short notice.

A giant immediately came and snatched Stripes up while Daisy was still grooming Ash.

Gytha is absolutely in love with the kittens. They're so tiny and precious and cute.

Gytha: Angus! We've become parents again!
Angus: Um, what?
Gytha: Daisy had her kittens! Look at them, they're so precious!

Angus: Wouldn't that make them our grandchildren? Er, grandkittens?
Gytha: I'm too young to be a grandparent.

Gytha makes the kittens their own beds out of some fabric and fur scraps. Only the best for her new cat-children.

Angus: Um, talking about children... it's been 'at least five years'.
Gytha: Oh. I'm... still not sure I feel ready for that yet.
Angus: Okay.

Gytha: Okay?
Angus: Did you think I was going to push back or something? That's not exactly going to make you feel more ready for it. Um, if you want to talk about it, let me know?

Angus and Gytha start prepping for their belated wedding party, and I don't think Gytha can claim that only her brother starts fires anymore. Thankfully the bucket brigade firefighter is here with her hair I forgot to default to take care of it.

Angus: I'm so glad you're okay!
Gytha: I'm fine, you can stop fretting.
Firefighter: Yeah, never mind me, the person who put out the fire. See you folks next time.

You probably shouldn't serve that at the party.

As promised, a low-key party to celebrate Gytha and Angus's wedding (it could also double as a housewarming, I suppose).

I should put away the haystack trampoline before parties, BUT this was hilarious. I think they were having a jumping contest.

Unfortunately, I can't put away the cats. Everyone step AWAY from the kittens and let them pee!!

I caught Helenet checking out the updates to her previous home. The bed platform is a little nicer than her mat, huh?
Helenet: I'm not sure this quilt will be warm enough for winter... I should ask Elmet about getting some furs for them.

Gytha took the opportunity to catch up with her brother. They simply don't talk or spend as much time together as they used to, since they live apart now and both of them are busy with work. And Glamaer has become quieter since their father died...

The opposite of all the straight guys thinking Diseta is hot is that all the queer ladies heartfart over Orla, lol.

Angus takes a quiet break outside after the party to spend some time with the stars, then slips into bed. It's getting cold at night with winter almost here.

Daisy: MROWWWWWWW~
Gytha and Angus: 😑
